Donza Plumbing: from an Instagram-only trade to 139 indexed pages across Lake Macquarie

A Mannering Park plumbing and gas company running quotes entirely through Instagram DMs, with no website at all, went live on its own domain with 139 pages covering 100 suburbs from the northern Central Coast through Lake Macquarie to Newcastle, with its NSW Fair Trading accreditations published as structured data.

// what the build includes

Everything the build ships with.

Specific outputs from this project, without dressing a baseline up as a growth claim.

  1. 01

Went from no website of any kind to a live domain at donzaplumbing.com.au carrying 139 URLs, with the mobile number and ABN published on every page.

  2. 02

100 individual suburb pages across the corridor the business actually works, from Lake Munmorah and Mannering Park north through Lake Macquarie to Newcastle, each carrying its own City and GeoCoordinates markup.

  3. 03

Thirteen service pages split by job type rather than one services list, covering bathroom renovations, hot water, blocked drains, gas fitting, backflow prevention, pumps and filtration, kitchen plumbing, tap and toilet repairs, emergency work, new construction and commercial.

  4. 04

Eight project pages grouped by job class, including bathrooms, sewer, stormwater, hot water, filtration and pump work, site services and commercial.

  5. 05

Seven guides answering the questions the trade actually gets asked, including what a hot water system replacement costs, heat pump rebates, backflow testing and what to do with a burst pipe.

  6. 06

The NSW Fair Trading accreditations, gas fitting, backflow prevention and thermostatic mixing valves, emitted as EducationalOccupationalCredential rather than sitting in body copy only.

  7. 07

An interactive hot water check that asks about the existing unit and household size before pointing at a service page, instead of a contact form as the only path in.

The business

Donza Plumbing is a family-owned plumbing and gas company based at Mannering Park on the northern edge of the Central Coast, working the corridor up through Lake Macquarie and into Newcastle. DONZA PLUMBING PTY LTD, ABN 51 697 209 153, has been GST registered since April 2026, and the same owner ran it as a sole trader under the Donza Plumbing business name from January 2025 before incorporating.

The work is broader than a general maintenance round. Bathroom renovations are the visible half, including in-wall cisterns, 1300mm baths and core-holing suspended slabs, but the licensed side is where the margin sits: gas fitting, backflow prevention, thermostatic mixing valves, commercial fitout and new construction rough-ins.

What they had before

No website. Not an old one, not a builder template, nothing. Two web searches on the business name and on the phone number returned no site, no directory listing and no Google Business Profile.

The entire public presence was one Instagram account, which at the August 2026 audit carried 4,165 followers across 35 posts with an active weekly posting cadence. Every enquiry arrived as a DM, because the bio said so: “DM for a quote”. That is a real audience with nowhere to send anyone. A homeowner in Toronto or Belmont searching for a licensed gas fitter found competitors, and the follower count did nothing for them.

There is no Business Profile either, so there is no map listing, no reviews to inherit and no local entity for Google to attach a site to. The baseline is zero on every search axis, and the follower count does not change that.

What we built

A 139-page Astro site structured around the two questions a plumbing buyer asks: do you do this job, and do you come to my suburb.

One hundred suburb pages cover the service area properly rather than naming a region and hoping. They run from the Central Coast base at Mannering Park, Lake Munmorah and Summerland Point north through Lake Macquarie, Toronto, Belmont, Balcolyn, Awaba, Arcadia Vale and Bennetts Green, and on into the Newcastle suburbs. Each one carries its own City, GeoCoordinates, PostalAddress and OpeningHoursSpecification markup instead of a shared footer list of suburb names.

Thirteen service pages split the trade by job rather than by department. Bathroom renovations, hot water systems, blocked drains, gas fitting, backflow prevention, pumps and filtration, kitchen plumbing, tap and toilet repairs, emergency plumbing, new construction and commercial each answer a different buyer with a different urgency. Eight project pages group real job classes, and seven guides answer the questions the search data shows, including hot water system replacement cost, heat pump hot water rebates, why hot water costs more, backflow testing, gas appliance changeover, a blocked drain that keeps coming back, and what to do with a burst pipe.

The credential layer matters more in this trade than in most, because gas and backflow work is licensed and a homeowner is entitled to check. The gas fitting, backflow prevention and thermostatic mixing valve accreditations are published as EducationalOccupationalCredential entities with NSW Fair Trading named as the recognising body, alongside a Plumber and LocalBusiness entity, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList and WebSite markup. The ABN and the mobile number sit on every page.

There is one interactive piece rather than a contact form as the only entry point. The hot water check asks what unit is installed and how many people are in the house, then routes to the relevant service page. Hot water is the highest-intent plumbing search there is, and the tool gives that search somewhere to land.

Where it stands

The site is live on its own domain at donzaplumbing.com.au. The build URL still resolves and canonicalises to it, so there is one indexable copy rather than two.

There is no before-and-after search data to report, and none is claimed here, because there was no previous website to compare against. What the build changes is that the business is now findable, structured and locally scoped in a corridor where it was previously invisible outside Instagram. Rankings, enquiries and map position are measured from launch against a baseline of zero.

Google Business Profile creation and verification is the next layer and it carries more weight here than usual. The suburb pages and the Plumber entity give Google a consistent local business to attach a profile to, but the profile still has to exist before the map results are reachable at all. Review generation follows it, and the Instagram audience is the obvious place to source the first ones.

What’s included

A one-off build plus a month-to-month retainer covering Business Profile setup, reviews and content. The site, the suburb pages, the content and the domain belong to the business from day one. Cancel the retainer any time after 90 days and everything stays with the business.
